Spring Soccer

Spring Soccer 2017

The 10 week Spring Season begins April 1/2 weekend and end June 24/25 weekend. 

Please Note - There will be no club soccer on

  • Coach Training March 10 - 12 for Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Facilitators
  • Easter                   April 14 – 17
  • Mini World Cup         May 13/14 
  • May Long Weekend May 20 - 22

Volunteers are needed.  CRYSA, like all amateur sport in our community, is completely driven by the time given by our committed volunteers.  Please consider volunteering – the kids need you!

Tots and U6 require field facilitators, equipment set-up and return
U7/8 require field facilitators, equipment set-up and return, orange slices
U9/10 require Coaches, Assistant Coaches, team managers, orange slices
U11/12, U13/14 and U15/18 require Coaches, Assistant coaches, team managers


Field Facilitators

You are responsible for running a station/games each week with the support of the Division Lead, who will provide you with the Active Start curriculum.  U6 facilitators will also support “free” gameplay for the second half of the division times. U7/8 facilitators will also have a weekday group practice.

Criminal Record checks will be required. 

Coaches

·       Work with the divisional lead to fulfill curriculum with weekend games and weekly practices.

·       Courses with Kevin Lindo at the clubhouse during weekend game play

·       Criminal Record checks will be required

Assistant Coach

·       Work alongside coach, be able to step in to coach if needed.

·       Criminal Record checks will be required

Team Manager

·       Responsible for jerseys, pinnies, equipment, handing out photos,

Oranges

·      They need to be picked up, cut and handed out to players on game day

Equipment Set-up

·       This is for Tots, U6 and U7/8.  Equipment for games need to be taken to the filed from lockers at clubhouse (balls, pugs, signs).  Safety signs placed up by Tots and taken down by U7/8. 

Game Schedules: Game times and location to be announced ASAP

Tots and U6 will play on Sundays and will not have weekday practices.  Parent Participation is Required for this division.

U7/8, U9/10 and U11/12 will play on Sundays and will have a weekday practice set by their coach.  If you have a child in this division please sign-up as a coach/assistant coach or on field facilitator as we need parent volunteers to ensure these programs can be run successfully.

U13/14 and U15/18 will play on Saturdays and will be interlocked with Comox so will play in Campbell River one week and Comox the next.  They will have a weekday practice set by their coach.  We will need parents to coach these teams.

Equipment:  cleats, shinpads and socks are required.  T-shirt/jersey will be provided.

Registration closes February 28, 2017.  Register before February 24 and receive $20 off your fees!

Any players registered after after Feb 28 will be placed on a team only if space allows.  

Any U8, U9, U10, U11 club players registered BEFORE FEB 28 will be placed on a team for the Mini World Cup May 13/14 (a minimum charge may apply to players in the Mini World Cup).  After Feb 28 you may not be able to participate in Mini World Cup.

If paying online with a credit card your registration will be processed immediately.  If paying in person there will be days set up in February and March to make your payments at the clubhouse.  All payments must be received by April 1.  Players will not be allowed on the field until fees are paid.

Refund Policy:  An administration fee of $25 will be deducted from refunds requested before April 9, 2017. No refunds will be issued after April 9, 2017.

Payment dates and times will be posted on our website as well as emailed out to registered players.

Spring Girls Soccer

CRYSA Girls Night Spring 2017


All CRYSA females born in the years 2005 to 2011 and registered with the club to play spring soccer are invited to practice every Friday from May 5 to June 16 (no session on May 19 as it is the long weekend).  


Sessions are run by CRYSA coaches and local UISA and VIPL Riptide female athletes.


This is designed to be all-inclusive so any fees charged are kept to a minimum to cover administration, facilities and incidentals.


Format:

5:30 – 7:00 pm Friday nights


Location: Pinecrest Park Field


Fees: $10 to register per player.

Goalkeeper Training

Goalkeeper Training

 

This program is open to players registered in U9/10, U11/12 and U13/14 for the spring season.  It will be led by CRYSA Coaches and local VIPL Goalkeepers.  Program will focus on physical literacy, basic handling, shot stopping and footwork. This is an extra program in addition to club (house) soccer.

 

Format:

  • Monday nights April 10, 24, May 1, 8, 15, 29, June 5 and 12 (8 sessions)
  • 4:30pm -5:30pm (timeslot for all ages - players will be placed into appropriate groups on arrival)
  • Rain or shine!  Please prepare for weather, bring shin guards, appropriate soccer footwear & a water bottle
  • Bring GK gloves if possible (CRYSA clubhouse does not have gloves)
  • Updates on practice changes will be communicated via email
  • ALL PLAYERS MUST REGISTER (SEE BELOW)

Fees: $35 to register per player

Carihi Soccer

Carihi Soccer Practice

All CRYSA registered soccer players aged 4 to 16 are invited to train with The Carihi Sports Leadership Class (all children 4 years old must have a parent/guardian present during practice). This FREE practice will be aimed at improving physical literacy, soccer fundamentals and skills through activities and game play. Players will be divided into appropriate groups, where these enthusiastic students with years of soccer experience, will take the lead. The leaders will receive support from the CRYSA Curriculum and Technical Director Kevin Lindo. Carihi School Head Soccer Coach and Athletic Director  John Jepson will monitor sessions and provide guidance.  This is an extra program in addition to club (house) soccer.
